Software Engineer II
About this Program
The Full-Stack AI Engineering Excellence Program is an immersive professional development initiative designed to transform our internal engineering talent into high-performing, AI-augmented full-stack developers. The program focuses on bridging the gap between traditional software engineering and modern AI-integrated workflows, ensuring our teams can deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions with unparalleled efficiency. By mastering the synergy between human creativity and AI-assisted tooling, participants will drive innovation across our product roadmap.
This program is tailored for software engineers who are eager to elevate their technical architecture capabilities and adopt cutting-edge development practices. The expected impact is a measurable increase in deployment velocity, superior code quality, and the successful delivery of intelligent, user-centric applications that solve complex business challenges within our organization.
Eligibility
This program is open to full-time software engineers and developers with at least 12 months of tenure at our organization. Candidates should have a foundational proficiency in at least one backend language and a frontend framework. Applicants must demonstrate a track record of strong performance, a commitment to continuous learning, and the support of their current line manager to dedicate the required hours to the curriculum.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, participants will develop advanced proficiency in designing, testing, and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS. You will gain mastery in leveraging AI-assisted development tools to automate boilerplate code, perform security audits, and enhance overall code quality. Additionally, participants will build the skills to architect robust RESTful APIs, manage complex integrations with internal and external systems, and apply design-thinking principles through collaboration with UX designers and Product Owners to ship production-ready, AI-enabled features.
Program Schedule
The program spans 16 weeks and follows a hybrid learning model, combining virtual cohort-based workshops, self-paced laboratory sessions, and bi-weekly in-person hackathons. Participants should expect a time commitment of 6 to 8 hours per week, consisting of technical training, peer code reviews, and hands-on project work. Key milestones include a midterm technical architecture assessment, an AI-tooling integration project, and a final capstone demonstration where participants present their fully deployed, AI-enabled application to organizational leadership.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit an online application via our internal learning portal by the final Friday of the current month. The application requires a brief statement of interest (maximum 300 words) detailing your current technical stack, a description of a recent engineering challenge you solved, and a manager endorsement form. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a technical conversation to discuss their professional growth goals and alignment with our engineering standards.
Next steps will be communicated after your application is reviewed.
